Because of its thin wall thickness, light product, high output and short turnaround time, thin-walled molds have very high requirements for mold making. The clamping structure must be reasonable, the product must have high concentricity, no eccentricity or misalignment, and the waterway design must be reasonable. Thin-walled products, design points of mold structure:

1. The shape of the product is simple, without any undercuts and bump holes, similar to a cup. The surface of the product is more than 3 degrees, and can be designed as side air, oblique air, valve, etc.

2. The height of the ribs on the stripper plate is less than 1mm. For the processing of this rib position, the stripper plate can be inlaid.

3. Design method of multi-cavity mold:

(1) Independent self-locking: Multi-cavity independent self-locking is suitable for the design of thin-walled molds of all shapes, each cavity is independent, and the locking surface at the bottom of the core is planted into the core doubler plate.

(2) Integral mold clamping: the wall thickness is greater than 0.8mm, the machine is relatively small, and it is difficult to place it in. The integral structure is adopted, but it must be explained in advance.

4. Cavity and core structure design:

(1) P20 steel is generally used for cavity doubler plates.

(2) The bottom of the cavity of the single-cavity barrel structure is empty, and it must be ensured that the press plate has a steel material with a height of 45mm or more. Prevent the cavity from producing flash.

(3) Inserts are used along the edge of the cavity to reduce cracking of the thin steel material in the cavity.

(4) The gate is set with a water jacket to reduce the cooling time of the hot runner.
